Who/what is God?

I don’t believe that there is a God.

What does strength mean to you?

It is the ability to maintain conviction and optimism. It is to be an individual and not a passive victim.

If you were given only one more wish in your life, what would it be.

That everyone has freedom, and this freedom takes many and all forms.

Describe the characteristics of your soulmate, living, dead, past or present.

Creative, empathetic, gentle, perceptive, challenging, someone who grapples with ideas and doesn’t just accept.

Are you living your soul purpose on this earth?

My soul purpose is to be engaged in social reality and acting to change the injustices. Am I doing it? I am questioning how effective I can be and am despondent about the state of the world (people’s destruction of each other and the environment)

What advice would you give to a broken hearted twenty year old?

No one person will meet your every need. You have to appreciate the relationship for what it was.

Did you do anything different in your 40th year?

Oh yes! I was in Ireland taking an academic sabbatical which involved ground roots research with the Belfast community and when I came back, I felt restless so I started writing poetry, reading poetry, and followed other creative forms of stimulation.

Who are you and how do you define yourself?

I am a socialist feminist, intellectual, human rights activist, writer.

What happens when you die?

The body decomposes and the spirit remains in the memories of people who knew you. There is no afterlife.
