Who/What is God?
I do believe in a classic Christian God. A God who manifests in behaviour. It is easy to see “God” in someone and for me religion is more about what is inside a person; a tangible entity, how they treat others.
What does courage mean to you?
Tenacity, not giving up, making tough decisions when the numbers are stacked against you. It is also about admitting when you are wrong. It sometimes takes more courage to do that.
What is your greatest wish?
Another ten wishes? For South Africa to normalize as a society completely where there is true equality and opportunity. Long term sustainability – we don’t want to move!
Describe your life in one word?
Blessed
What advice do you give yourself when faced with difficulty?
I wake up my wife and drink hot horlicks.
What has your mother taught you?
To have respect for people. My father taught me confidence and humour.
Describe the characteristics of your soul mate?
Supportive, considerate, risky, positive and happy. I am risk averse, and often need a push on edgy decisions.
How do you handle fear?
Most of the time I withdraw, quieten down, channel my energy and work through it by myself.
Who are you and how do you define yourself?
I am a positive person who has a burning desire to succeed in all aspects of life. One day, I hope to be considered a wise man, a great mentor and coach.
What has been your greatest challenge?
To have obtained my MBA. It is not as physically hard or intense as some of the other challenges but it’s the one that I planned for a long time and the sense of achievement was great.
If you have a spare 15 minutes, what do you do with them?
It would have to be something in water – swimming, sea, river or a Jacuzzi!
What happens when you die?
I don’t know but I want to leave a positive and meaningful legacy.
